  1. Hi Andy, Hope all is well. I was watching a documentary on the USMC and I remembered I have the rank insignia you gave me years ago and wondered if you wished me to send it to you? God bless, ~ Carla

    1. Hi Carla, It's been a while! I trust everything is well with you! I've two toddler grandsons in CA with Lisa these days. Laura's in NY (no grandkids yet.) Keep that insignia!

    2. So glad to hear you are doing well! Also glad to hear that the girls are well and happy and giving you grandchildren, one of life's greatest blessings, no? I never had children, turns out I couldn't.
I really think your grandsons would value that insignia one day.
But what I really wanted to do was apologize.
You were were so good to me, generous, always a gentleman in every way. I have nothing but good memories of our time together.
We met when I was involved in a relationship that I lacked the courage to end. I remember going to your place to ask you to wait until I resolved things but the attraction between us was explosive and had predictable results. Consequently I lived two lives for a while and when I was finally done, my happiness with you was irrevocably marred by my own guilt. I couldn't get past that I had lied and cheated. Some would have no problem with that but it ate me alive. I wish that I had known then what I know now about Jesus, His forgiveness and redemption. I simply did not believe that I deserved happiness with a great man I loved deeply because I acted so dishonorably. You had not done anything to cause it at all. It was my mess. That's why I ended us. In case you ever wondered. I'm decades late, Andy, but I am truly sorry.
I've remembered you in my prayers over the years and hope you've found happiness. These days I am a Christian, a conservative supporter of the NRA, Military, and The US Constitution. We hope Trump returns to the White House. I'm happily married for 25 years to a wonderful man, an American, former military.
These are crazy times we live in. Take care and God bless you ~
